Flight 4

Now that Den of Angel's flight prop contest is over, I can finally post pictures of my entry. I chose to make wings to go along with their "angel" theme. I'm very pleased with the result, Allistair felt kind of bland without any of his inventions. I know the harness is kind of... well... nonfunctional looking and the wings are small and would obviously not fly, but at least they look pretty! Har har. The idea came from reading Garth Nix's Keys to the Kingdom series, which, to me, has a very neo-victorian/steampunky feel.

The wing base is made from various jewelry findings that have been soldered together. The feathers are semi transparent plastic that have been cut to size and then carefully inserted into the proper place.
